The Primary Renovations initiative of the SMART Program largely focuses on improving schools and the educational experience of students through structural upgrades to campuses and infrastructure. A six-step process is put in place to ensure that all renovations are completed effectively, moving through a thorough process that begins with Project Planning and ends with Construction Closeout. In certain circumstances, a project’s scope of work is sometimes split into separate “Phases” in order to expedite timing.
CYPRESS BAY HIGH SCHOOL is one such school, with two Primary Renovations projects that progress individually of each other. Both the Primary Renovations project and the New Classroom Addition at the school have moved through the first 4 phases of the process and are currently in Active Construction, with all planned enhancements being implemented in coordination with the school’s administration and scheduling. Once all renovations outlined by each of the project scopes of work have been completed, the school will move forward to fulfill the necessary Closeout procedures before being marked officially complete.
